Overview of personal data
Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:
- First and last name;
- Email address;
- Company.
Purpose and bases for processing personal data
By agreeing to this privacy statement, you explicitly consent within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR to process your personal data for the purposes listed below. You can withdraw from this consent at any time. However, if you do not provide us with certain data or do not have it processed by us, we may not be able to provide you with a good service.
If you have not given us explicit consent to the processing of your personal data or if you have withdrawn from this consent, the bases of Articles 6(1)(b)(c) and/or (f) of the GDPR may apply to the processing of your personal data. In that case, processing of your personal data may take place without your consent, provided that this is necessary for the execution of an agreement to which you are a party, or necessary for the protection of DEMO's legitimate interests. In addition, we may have a legal obligation to process your personal data.
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Sending our newsletter and/or advertising leaflet;
- To be able to call or e-mail you if this is necessary for the performance of our services;
- Inform you about changes to our services and products;
- We do not store your personal data for longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.
Provision to third parties
We may share your personal data with third parties if this is compatible with the aforementioned purposes. Provision to third parties may be necessary for the performance of the agreement we conclude with you, be necessary for the protection of a legitimate interest of ours, or be necessary to comply with any legal obligation that rests on us. We enter into a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. We remain responsible for these processing operations. Outside of the foregoing situations, we only provide your personal data to other third parties with your explicit consent.
Commercial purposes
We may use your personal data for commercial purposes, for example to further inform you about our services or relevant products. In that case, you will only be informed at the e-mail address you have registered. If you do not wish to receive information about relevant products or services, you can simply indicate this by clicking on "unsubscribe" in the received email.
Your personal data will also be used by us for market research and the optimization of our services. Your personal data will be anonymized in this context and can therefore no longer be traced back to you.
Your data will not be sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes, unless you explicitly consent to this.
Google Analytics
The DEMO website uses Google Analytics. We have put in place safeguards to ensure that visitors' right to privacy does not prevail over our legitimate interest. That is why we have concluded a processing agreement with Google Analytics and DEMO has chosen to mask the last octet of the IP address. In addition, we have disabled 'data sharing' and do not use other Google services in combination with the Google Analytics cookies.
LinkedIn Conversion Tracking and Insight Tag
The LinkedIn Insight Tag is a piece of lightweight JavaScript code that we have added to our websites to enable campaign reporting and to give us valuable insights about our website visitors. We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to track conversions, retarget visitors to our website, and to gain additional insights about the interaction between members and our LinkedIn ads.
The LinkedIn Insight Tag can collect metadata such as information about IP addresses, timestamp, and events (for example page views). All data is encrypted. The LinkedIn browser cookie is stored in a user's browser until the user deletes the cookie or the cookie has expired (the cookie expires six months after the last time the Insight Tag was loaded into the user's browser).
You can opt out of LinkedIn cookies on your LinkedIn settings page and we recommend that you read their Cookie Policy for more information.
Cookies

You can opt out of these cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can also delete all information previously stored via the settings of your browser.
We use the following cookies:
- Functional cookies: these are cookies that are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and remember your preferred settings. It also allows us to optimize our website. These are analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy for which we do not need your prior consent.
- You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data. You have the right to data portability if we have digital personal data that we process with your consent to execute an agreement we have concluded with you.
This means that you can submit a request to us to send the digital personal data that we hold about you in a readable digital file to you or another organization of your choice.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@demobv.nl.
To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible and within four weeks.
We would also like to point out that you have the possibility to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
