Mija Sušnik (1992) is a Researcher at DEMO Consultants with a background in Civil and Building Engineering, with a Master’s degree in Building Engineering from the University of Ljubljana (2018) and a specialization in Building Information Modelling from Politecnico di Milano (2020). She worked as an Engineering Consultant and Building Auditor focusing on reducing energy consumption in buildings (2018-2020). Her responsibility was also overseeing the company’s implementation of BIM and providing related coaching. In her recent research project (2020) she investigated the issues of interoperability between BIM and Calculation Virtual Environments for energy and acoustic analysis. Mija’s interests are in finding smart and sustainable solutions for the built environment while considering a variety of relevant aspects such as energy consumption, climate, life cycle, indoor air quality, and others. At DEMO she is currently managing and contributing to EU-funded projects D^2EPC, PRECEPT and SmartLivingEPC.
